The CSBG Community Assessment is administered every three years. We compile statistical data and relevant community information to identify the strengths, needs, and trends that impact the design and implementation of our Community Services Block Grant program.
During the assessment process, the following questions are addressed:
- How many low-income, CSBG eligible individuals/families reside in the service area?
- Are there changes in the low-income population or demographics in the CSBG service area?
- Are there community trends that affect CSBG families?
- What are the most critical needs and challenges facing the individuals/families in the service area?
The data which we collect and analyze is utilized in making programmatic decisions such as determination of the types of services most needed by the individuals and families that we serve, our philosophy, the agency’s long- and short-range objectives, and our recruitment and service area.
