It is wWanda Davis, CSBGith heartfelt sympathy that we share the passing of our dear friend and co-worker Wanda Davis. Wanda most recently served as a Community Services Block Grant Case Manager II and ROMA Trainer and worked with our agency in various roles for 33 years.

Wanda began working with the agency in May of 1990. She held various positions including Center Supervisor, where she was responsible for coordinating activities and programs in target areas and conducting surveys to assist with community planning. She worked with local partner agencies, and as a supervisor, she provided clients with counseling and technical assistance as well as supportive services. She oversaw and implemented case management for clients served through the CSBG Program and worked with community groups and volunteers.

Wanda also worked in outreach and was responsible for providing outreach and program information in designated areas such as Columbus County. In this role she conducted surveys and assessed the community’s needs, as well as assisted in the development and implementation of programs, all while working with local groups.

Many will miss her hard work ethic and kind heart. She was a strong link with the Columbus County Youth and Families Association since its beginning in 1992. She served on their Board of Directors as Vice President and was always willing to serve Columbus County. She always wanted to see young people achieve their dreams. She will leave a legacy of being a true advocate for the families of Columbus County.

She was a warrior, unrelenting in her fight for a cause for the people. Arrangements will be handled by Peoples Funeral Home in Whiteville NC.
