Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc. studies the underlying issues involved in improving education, economic opportunities, living environments and the general welfare of the community to make recommendations for programs, projects, or activities and create solutions for individuals who reside in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Pender, Robeson, and Scotland Counties. Our mission is to improve and empower the lives of the people we serve.

Welcome from our CEO

Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc. formerly Southeastern Community & Family Services is a private, statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to improve the quality of human life for residents in North Carolina. Governed by a 21-member Board of Directors and a team of professional advisors, SCAP has been providing an array of services for children and families since 1964.

OUR HISTORY

Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc.(SCAP, Inc.), formerly Southeastern Community & Family Services, Inc., was incorporated on June 10, 1964, with the purpose of:

  1. Aid in improving the education, economic opportunities, living environment and general welfare of the people.
  2. Study problems involved in improving education, economic opportunities, living environment and general welfare.
  3. To make and recommend programs or projects or activities toward the solution of such problems for people of all ages living in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Pender, Robeson, and Scotland Counties.

 

Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc., has grown to serve seven counties.
